Experienced Interior Designer

The Role:
Are you an experienced Interior Designer with a passion for creating exceptional workplace environments and the confidence to close deals?

At Chameleon Business Interiors, we are looking for a skilled designer in a permanent role to not only manage design projects from start to finish but also excel in presenting and securing client commitments. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, design expertise, and persuasive presentation skills and turn your creative ideas into successful business solutions!

What You’ll Do:

• Lead space-planning and layout design to create functional, aesthetically appealing office environments.
• Produce 2D drawings and detailed design information, transforming them into compelling 3D visualisations.
• Present your designs confidently to clients, guiding them through the creative process and closing the deal with impactful pitches.
• Collaborate with clients and our in-house team, ensuring that all design elements align with the client’s needs and vision.
• Attend site visits and manage project queries, ensuring smooth execution of your design concepts.

Our Ideal Candidate:

You’re a talented designer with a degree in Interior Design and experience in the commercial workplace sector. But more than that, you’re someone who can confidently present and close deals, turning your designs into actionable, finalised projects. Your ability to blend creativity with sales savvy will be key to your success in this role.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree in Interior Design (BA [Hons] Interior Design or equivalent).
• Industry experience in commercial interior design, preferably in the workplace sector. Knowledge of architectural design & building regulations is a plus.
• Ability to communicate and sell your design vision through 2D plans, 3D models, and technical drawings (e.g., general arrangement space-planning, finishes layouts, ceiling & lighting plans, basic shopfitting drawings).
• Strong proficiency in design software, including:
  • – AutoCAD 2D
  • – SketchUp / 3D Modelling
  • – 3D Rendering / V-Ray (desirable)
  • – Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign)
  • – MS Office
• A full UK driving license is required.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
