A refurbishment takes an existing office space and upgrades it to something new and modern. A fit out takes a space that’s not already being used as an office and changes it into one
Cat A office fit outs include the minimum to create a usable space. Things like lighting, flooring, toilets and so on. They’re usually commissioned by the landlord.
Cat B fit outs are usually commissioned by the tenant. They include all the finishing touches that create a finished, fully operational workspace like furniture, decoration and branding.
The length of a fit out depends on a lot of factors so it’s impossible to give a standard duration. When we plan yours, we’ll give you a detailed timeline so you know exactly what’s happening and when.
