Chameleon Business Interiors undertook an inspiring transformation project for BusinessWatch, located in Batley, involving the refurbishment of their outdated and uninspiring workspace.
The primary objective was to create an environment where BusinessWatch employees felt inspired, motivated, and proud. The challenge lay in converting a space with specific constraints, including a remote monitoring station known as 'the bunker' without windows, into an inviting, comfortable workspace.
Designing around challenges
BusinessWatch, a leading provider of security services and solutions, including a remote monitoring station known as ‘the bunker,’ partnered with Chameleon Business Interiors for the refurbishment. The focus was on creating an engaging and inspiring workspace that boosts productivity and encourages collaboration. The unique challenge was to reimagine ‘the bunker’ as a welcoming and comfortable space while adhering to its distinct requirements, showcasing the versatility and innovation of the design approach. The design was meticulously tailored to foster collaboration and ensure the well-being of employees, providing a variety of facilities such as breakout spaces, informal and formal meeting areas, and flexible workspaces.

The revitalised workspace at BusinessWatch now offers a contemporary ambiance with agile workspaces, an open-plan design, and an array of breakout spaces promoting spontaneous conversations and collaboration across their team. Hotdesking and various meeting areas cater to diverse needs, while strategically placed socialization and relaxation spaces ensure employee well-being and team building. The design facilitates an open-plan feel, creating an environment that despite not having windows, feels spacious. The outcome embodies the essence of a workspace that not only meets functional requirements but also fosters creativity and employee satisfaction, aligning seamlessly with BusinessWatch’s vision.
