“The important thing is not to stop questioning.” – Albert Einstein

At Chameleon, we handle everything from the first concept office design to the furniture curation and finishing touches. Our expert team takes care of commercial interior design, space planning, project management, and fit out. We promise partnerships from day one, which means we’re by your side every step of the way to ensure that you get a space which changes everything.

When carrying out a full commercial design and build, we support the full process from concept to finishings. We can specially curate furniture for your space, choosing pieces which reflect your brand both through colour and style. Office furniture plays a key role in bringing a new space together, allowing your team to be comfortable and well accommodated to be at their best. Every workspace is unique, which means the timeline is too. There’s no such thing as a ‘typical’ project. Design development and approvals can take roughly 2 weeks, but fit outs can vary.

Every project is different – some clients may require fit outs to be completed in a short time frame, while others may have much more flexibility on deadlines. Regardless of what your needs are, we’ll work with your team to create a timeline which suits you.

Beginning with workplace consultancy, we’ll be able to create an accurate vision for how we can improve your workspace and what the timeframe for that will look like.

We do both. We can breathe new life into an old space and optimise everything from the floor space you have available to the integrated technology. We’ll thoughtfully adapt what you have, creating something inspiring and built for a purpose. Starting with a new build can give us even more scope to deliver a workspace that works for you.

All of our spaces are designed with a key focus on sustainability. Through the use of eco-friendly materials, integrating energy-efficient technology, and creating smart layouts that reduce waste, we can help you hit your ESG targets. Also, during the build and fit out process, we’ll use local suppliers where we can, which helps reduce the carbon footprint of the project.

In the long term, insulating office walls, automatically regulating room temperature and smart lights which turn off when not in use can all help reduce energy waste day-to-day.

Thoughtful office design can improve productivity and efficiency of your team in many ways, from a naturally flowing floor plan to support cohesion within your team to areas both small and large for groups to collaborate. Lack of meeting rooms, desk banks, and even breakout spaces can create an invisible divide between your team and make working together more difficult.

By embracing an open, natural feel in your office space, you can create an environment which encourages your team to be at their best, completely organically. Modern technology and smart systems can also help improve efficiency, cutting out unnecessary time wasted and streamlining otherwise complicated processes.

Having expanded our brand over more than 26 years in the commercial interior design industry, we have offices across the UK, including the North, South and Midlands. We’ve also expanded internationally, making a second home in North America, delivering interior design for commercial projects across the pond for clients across a variety of industries.

If you’re planning an office design and build, it’s important to get a grasp on just how much space you’ll need in your new work area. It’s tricky to pull this figure out of thin air and you’ll need enough room to accommodate your current team, including desk banks and breakout rooms, as well as provide enough space for growth.

To help decipher just how much office space you will need, we’ve created this nifty little tool – The Tape Measure. This nifty little tool will help you calculate how much office space you will need based on the size of your team, which areas you’ll need in your space and how many people will be using them.

Download The Tape Measure, fill out the form and submit it via our website. A specialist from our team will be in touch to discuss how we can help.

Planning a full office refurbishment means considering every stage, not only the space itself, but the costs involved at every step of the project. We’re fully transparent about all costs and will work with you to make sure we can agree on a process which fits within your budget.

To help you budget for a new office fit out project, we’re laid out a few of the areas you’ll need to consider:

_Design (including floorplans and visuals)

_Construction

_Electrical

_Furniture

_Finishes

We work across all sectors, including the food industry with McCain Foods, the property industry with Beal Homes, the medical industry with SpaMedica, and

the technology & software industry with Ideagen. Our industry coverage spreads even further than this, and over the years, we’ve worked across many industries, forming strong and long-lasting partnerships throughout.

Although they may sound the same on the face of it, the terms office refit and office refurbishment are used to differentiate the scope of the project.

Office Refurbishment – Referencing the improvement of the space and upgrading existing features. Essential functional improvements are also typically included in this type of project, covering redecoration, new flooring, redesigned layout, upgraded lighting and new furniture.

When carrying out an office refurb, we’re able to keep disruption to a minimum so your day-to-day doesn’t have to grind to a halt. Instead, your work can continue flowing as we work around you to improve your space.

Office Refit – Often a more extensive transformation, taking an empty or stripped-back building and fitting it out from scratch. These projects also usually require more work to the ‘foundations’ of the space, such as mechanical & electrical systems, HVAC, partitions, washrooms and kitchens, as well as all finishes and furniture.
