Lumo Image of project

Newcastle, UK

In the heart of Newcastle, Chameleon Business Interiors undertook an ambitious project to create a headquarters for Lumo, the trailblazing 'affordable' rail service by First Group.

Spanning 6,000 sqft, this project aimed to design a workspace that not only nurtured collaboration and amplified brand identity but also inspired employees to return to the office. The vision was to cultivate a destination office, promoting collaboration, socialisation, and overall well-being while reinforcing Lumo's commitment to investing in their people. The diverse variety of spaces provided the flexibility for Lumo's team to optimise their work environment, boosting productivity and the quality of work.

A space for training and development

Lumo, a vital component of the First Group, sought a cutting-edge headquarters in Newcastle that prioritised collaboration among employees and integrated state-of-the-art training facilities. The intent was not only to focus on promoting brand identity but also to house a train simulator for comprehensive training purposes. Chameleon Business Interiors collaborated closely with Lumo to deeply understand their business objectives and tailor the design to align with their culture, promoting learning and development, seamless collaboration, flexibility, and connection within the workspace.
